Girl Mouse by Barbara Sansoni

Each mouse is an individual, loaded with character and handmade from dyed and woven brightly patterned cottons. Your mouse come completely outfitted even down to its underwear, embroidered details and perfectly fitting hand stitched shoes. These highly prized individuals were designed by Barefoot founder - Barbara Sansoni. By introducing a training program for unemployed Sri Lankan women in the 1950's, Sansoni enabled generations of poor under-educated women to work from home earning a real wage for their handmade products. Each mouse is different in the colours and patterns of fabric and fine costume details, hand-stitched, constructed for loving over a lifetime.

MATERIALS: Handwoven cotton coloured with safe Swiss dyes. This toy is stuffed with polyester fibre.
