A collectors dhablo blanket approximately 15 years old woven by Vankar Vishram Valji, a national award winning textile artist from Bhujodi, Kutch.

This dhablo is woven from merino wool although traditionally the local sheep's wool is preferred as it is coarser and tougher. Two lengths of the woven cloth are sewn together using a fish stitch becoming an integral part of the design. The blanket is a source of identity to a Rabari male, traditionally used by men as a shoulder cloth, blanket, seat and carrier..

DIMENSIONS: 230cm Long x 138cm Wide

MATERIALS: Merino wool

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Handwash by soaking for 10 minutes followed by a rinse in cold water. Get rid of excess water by rolling up the Dhabla in a towel and gently press to absorb. Then, using a fresh towel, lay your garment out flat in shade.
